In making the announcement, Managing Partner Kelly G. Richardson said that during the nine years Althouse has been with the firm, he has become a major asset to firm clients through his leadership, his poise in handling major cases and his growing reputation in the Southern California construction defect litigation area. Richardson commented: “We are so happy to take this opportunity to recognize Dennis’ importance to this law firm.”
Althouse, whose legal career has spanned 16 years, was a Senior Associate with Richardson & Harman, PC before becoming a partner. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Associate with the Los Angeles, California law firms of Wolfe & Wyman and Anderson, McPharlin & Conners.
Althouse is licensed to practice in California as well as before the United States District Court, Central District of California. Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Pasadena, Los Angeles County and Ventura bar associations. Althouse serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Los Angeles County Superior Court System.
A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Althouse attended the University of Nebraska from which he earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and a Juris Doctor degree from its College of Law.
While in law school, he was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award for exemplary study of Insurance Law.
